I love to read all romance, especially contemporary and paranormal, but my all time fave genre is urban fantasy. I'm also an author of New Adult and Paranormal.

The Line

The Line - J.D. Horn Loved it. I'm such a sucker for southern Goth.

Unholy Ghosts

Unholy Ghosts - Stacia Kane This is a really strange case of falling in love with a book several months AFTER I read it. I think it's been over nine months since I read this book, and I gave it a three star rating. (I thought the writing was too choppy and the pace too slow.) Anyway, for some reason, I kept thinking about the characters, especially Terrible, after the fact. I had no intentions of reading the rest of the series but after the world marinated in my brain, I'm back for more. So, long story short, any book that can draw me in months later is worth five stars. On to Unholy Magic...

Knight of Hearts

Knight of Hearts - Suzie Quint I absolutely loved this book. After I’d read it, I wanted to put into words what exactly I’d found so enjoyable about it. After some pondering, I realized it was the heroine Rachel who made the book unforgettable. If I had to describe Rachel in a nutshell, I’d use the word broken. An incident in her past has left her unable to form intimate bonds with men. She comes across as prickly because of her history, but instead of being unlikable because of her attitude, she’s completely relatable. Trauma for Rachel equals erecting walls to keep others out. When Mac comes along and begins to chip away at her fortress, I couldn’t stop rooting for the couple.

Ms. Quint did a great job of fully developing all the characters in her book, and the humor, twists, and realistic dialog made me sad that the book had to end. I’d highly recommend this book to all contemporary romance readers.

P.S. The sexual tension is off the charts!

All's Fair

All's Fair - Suzie Quint All’s Fair is a fun Novella about a divorced couple (Sol and Georgia) who, despite their fighting, still harbor a spark for one another. Thank god for that because it leads to a very steamy love scene. If you like hot cowboys, especially adrenaline seeking bull riders, you’ll love Sol. He’s a bit of an alpha, but his love for his ex-wife makes him an endearing alpha. Without giving away any spoilers, the way Sol goes about bedding Georgia is hysterical. I’d recommend this book for a quick evening read that will leave you smiling. You might even need a cigarette when you’re through.
